The following organizations, some profit and some non-profit, are all "AIME-approved" providers of Industry-Free CME. We urge you to choose one of their offerings next time you need Category One CME credit--you can trust what they have to say.  

Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality
AHRQ offers free CME credit for both physicians and nurses for reading intereseting clinical cases covering various medical specialties.
Centers for Disease Control
The CDC offers free CME credit for epidemiologic case studies.
Evidence-Based Practice
A monthly 16-page print and online newsletter for family practitioners. Individual subscriptions are $149/year without CME credit, and $224/year with 36 hours of CME credit.
Psychiatry Review Course
These are high class CME courses offered while cruising through various exotic locales. One of the few live courses in all of medicine that take no industry funding as a matter of policy.
The Carlat Psychiatry Report
According to the masthead: "An Unbiased Monthly Covering all Things Psychiatric." Regular subscriptions are $109/year and include the cost of 12 hours of Category One CME credit.
The Medical Letter
The classic unbiased newsletter covering all fields of medicine. It is published every other week, and regular subscriptions are $89/year. For an additional $22, subscribers can receive 13 credits by passing an online exam covering newletter content.
The Prescriber's Letter
A monthly newsletter, similar in scope to The Medical Letter, but with a more informal style. $88/year includes both the printed version and online access, and an additional $24/year gets you 12 hours of accredited CME.
