1. To serve as an umbrella organization and trade group for providers of CME who do not accept commercial funding as
a matter of principle.
2. To create an informal AIME “seal of approval” for CME activities that were
created without any industry funding.
3. To create a list of high quality, industry-free, CME activities, available
on our website with hyperlinks directly to sponsoring organizations.
4. To serve as a source of information to
both medical professionals and the lay public on issues of professionalism and the proper relationship between commercial
interests and physicians.
5. To support public policy initiatives that discourage commercially-funded CME.

To create an alternative Industry-Free CME Speaker’s Bureau of experts who can speak out against commercially-funded
CME.
